Vanessa is a trauma-informed therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s complex challenges and find the clarity needed to move forward. She is committed to creating a supportive and respectful space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.

Guided by the belief that “people must know the past to understand the present, and to face the future,” a powerful insight from Canadian pioneer Nellie McClung, her practice emphasizes honoring each person’s history while building practical, evidence-based pathways forward.

Her areas of specialization include a wide range of deeply personal and systemic challenges:

  • Relationships & Burnout: Intrapersonal growth, couples and romantic counseling, and boundary setting.

  • Trauma & Crisis Support: Support for domestic violence and intimate partner violence (IPV), justice system navigation, and crisis management.

  • Addictions & Advocacy: Support for behavioral and substance addictions, alongside dedicated Indigenous advocacy.

  • Complex Mental Health: Specialized care for anxiety, panic, depression, ADHD, BPD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and concurrent disorders.

  • Approach: Vanessa does not believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Her approach blends a deep neurobiological understanding of stress and mental health with an anti-oppressive lens that respects each client’s unique environment and cultural context. Whether clients are seeking long-term psychotherapy within a structured continuum of care or short-term, practical solutions for immediate relief, she tailors her therapeutic toolkit—including DBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy—to align with each client’s goals.

Vanessa recognizes that healing can be demanding work, but also emphasizes the importance of connection and, as Dr. Gabor Maté highlights, the value of incorporating moments of lightness and laughter into the process.

She looks forward to collaborating with clients and invites them to select their desired service to begin their journey.

“Let’s create a safe space, and we can work to find resolve and solve for next steps,” Vanessa.
